BGCP has a variety of volunteer opportunities available to support our students and their families. Children are welcome to volunteer at many of these activities. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Senior Director of Community Engagement Emily Mungul.
High school Summer internship
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula is recruiting motivated teens to participate in summer programs across East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Redwood City, San Mateo, Daly City, and South San Francisco. This internship opportunity is open to students entering 9th grade through graduating high school seniors. All interns will gain hands-on youth development experience alongside BGCP staff.

Ravenswood (Costano, CCRMS): June 23- July 25
Redwood City (Garfield, MIT): June 16 - July 25
San Mateo (Foster City): June 20 - July 18
Daly City (Woodrow Wilson, Daniel Webster): June 16 - July 18
South San Francisco (Susan B. Anthony): June 16- July 18
South San Francisco (Orange Park Clubhouse): June 9- July 18
HOW TO BECOME AN INTERN
Apply here. (Application process will start the first week of March)
After applying, you will be asked to complete compliance per BGCA and BGCP guidelines.
Adults (over 18 yrs old): Two background checks (Live Scan and Checkr), a valid TB test, Sexual Harassment and Child Abuse Prevention Online Trainings, reference checks, and volunteer form.
Minors (ages 14-17): One background check (Checkr), reference checks, and volunteer form.
Volunteer team will set up a 15-minute interview.
Complete a 3 day internship training session (3 sessions available starting first week in June)

Group and Corporate Volunteering
Looking for fun, team-bonding, in-person way to serve the community together as a team? Consider signing your group up for a Volunteer Takeover, where your company, team, or group reserves an afternoon of volunteering for our Grocery Distribution, career exploration opportunities or a special, on-site event with students.

Grocery Distribution takes place on certain days each month from 4:15-7:00 P.M.
